Mt. Rainier

We took our first trip up to the mountain this weekend. It was a beautiful hot day. We had packed sweatshirts, thinking it would be cooler up in the mountains. But we didnt need them. It was actually hard to find shade. A little different than where I grew up camping.

At the beginning of our little hike, Bridger was complaining a little about the heat. We told him that we were going to finish our little hike anyways. A few minutes later Bridger told me, " I am going to make it to the top, where the snow is. I decided." It was so funny, he had made up his mind. He was a very good hiker the rest of the time, but we had to convince him that it would take too long to make it up to the snow, even though it did sound very refreshing. We did make it to a little stream, and cooled down there before we headed back down. Bridger was sure to tell all the people still struggling to go uphill that, "there is some cool water up there you can put your feet in." :) Daddy and Addy found a few huckleberries. Addy seemed to enjoy the hike. She was pretty quiet most of the time, just taking it all in.
